Former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is on the verge of signing with Scottish champions Celtic.

Details: BBC Sport reports that Celtic head coach Martin O’Neill has confirmed ongoing talks and emphasized mutual interest between the parties. A key role in the negotiations was played by former club goalkeeper Joe Hart, who is a close friend of Alex.

It is reported that Hart personally spoke with the midfielder, telling him about the scale of the club and the atmosphere in Glasgow, which had a significant impact on Oxlade-Chamberlain’s desire to test himself in the Scottish Premiership.

It is worth noting that the Englishman’s last club was Turkish side Beşiktaş, for whom he made 50 appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist.

Reminder: Liverpool head coach Arne Slot revealed who will miss the clash against Manchester City.
