For a long time it was thought that Lille defender Leni Yoro's move to Real Madrid was only a matter of time, but as it turns out, we won't be seeing the 18-year-old at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the best deal for the centre-back came from Manchester United, who will be able to take the player for over €50 million. The offer was accepted by Lille.
Now everything is in the hands of the 18-year-old defender himself, who has always favoured Real Madrid. So far, he has not said his final word on a move to England.
Manchester United were previously not so active in the Yoro deal, and may have switched to him at Old Trafford after failed negotiations with Everton over Jarrad Branthwaite.
