Unexpected move: Matteo Guendouzi is close to joining Fenerbahce

French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is set to become a Fenerbahce player in the very near future.

Details: According to journalist Daniele Longo, Turkish side Fenerbahce and Italian club Lazio have reached an agreement for the transfer of the 25-year-old midfielder Matteo Guendouzi. The deal is worth €25 million, with an additional €2 million in potential bonuses.

At the moment, Guendouzi is en route to Turkey to finalize the transfer and undergo his medical examination.

This season, the French midfielder has made sixteen appearances for the Rome-based club. Transfermarkt currently values him at €28 million.

Reminder: Fenerbahce could also sign Atletico forward Alexander Sørloth.
