Former world boxing champion Tyson Fury could become the owner of a football club. According to The Sun, the legendary boxer is considering acquiring Morecambe together with ex-Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimović.

The idea reportedly emerged after the two sports icons met in Poland, where they were filming a promotional campaign related to the World Cup. During their conversation, Fury and Ibrahimović are said to have discussed the potential purchase of an English club and the future development of the project.

Sources indicate that, beyond buying the team, the famous duo wants to launch a Netflix documentary series tentatively titled "The Rise of Morecambe." The project could follow the model of Wrexham's story, which became one of England's most talked-about football clubs after Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over.

Interestingly, this story has personal significance for Fury. The boxer lives in Morecambe, and his training base is located at the club's stadium. He also has experience working with Netflix thanks to the family project "At Home with the Furys."

It's worth noting that Morecambe itself has faced tough times in recent years. The club ran into serious difficulties and, after a disappointing season, dropped into the National League North. Despite this, the team recently secured financial backing from a new consortium of owners.
