Unbelievable. Coach breaks his player's arm during banquet
A banquet to mark the end of a season or part of it is a common occurrence, whether for Champions League teams or amateur clubs. However, one celebration ended in an unusual way.
Details: According to Weszlo, representatives of Sandecja, a third-tier Polish team, were celebrating the successful conclusion of the autumn season, where the team reached the 1/8 final of the Cup and finished top of their group heading into the winter break. During the banquet, head coach Łukasz Mierzejewski decided to have an arm wrestling contest with his player and captain, Kamil Słaby.
The two engaged in the battle, and Słaby accidentally extended his arm awkwardly, resulting in a broken arm in two places. Rumor has it that Mierzejewski has a notably strong arm, literally speaking.
Reminder: Sandecja from Nowy Sącz spent one season in Poland’s top league, 2017/2018. In the two previous seasons, they experienced consecutive relegations, first from the first league and then from the second.
