UFC star Nate Diaz faces battery charges after nightclub altercation
MMA fighter Nate Diaz has been charged with battery following an incident at a nightclub in Las Vegas, reports TMZ. The accusation comes from a security guard at the venue, with the altercation reportedly taking place on August 25.
Witnesses claim that Diaz and his entourage were attempting to enter the Omnia nightclub in Las Vegas. The UFC star allegedly held up the line, prompting a security guard to intervene. According to the guard, the situation escalated, resulting in Diaz striking him.
Court documents reveal that security staff separated the two before police arrived at the scene. A warrant for Diaz’s arrest was subsequently issued, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Diaz is widely known for his legendary fights against Conor McGregor, with one victory and one defeat in their bouts. In 2022, he transitioned from MMA to boxing, later losing to Jake Paul in 2023 but redeeming himself with a win over Jorge Masvidal—whom he had previously lost to in a 2019 UFC clash.
Over his MMA career, Diaz has secured 21 wins in 34 fights, solidifying his reputation as one of the sport’s most recognized fighters.
