A scandal has erupted in the United States involving UFC veteran Tim Means, who was arrested in New Mexico on charges of child abuse. According to the Albuquerque Journal, the incident occurred after a family argument related to household chores.

Reports state that the 42-year-old fighter, who also works as a wrestling coach at Moriarty High School, was detained on April 22 and taken to a detention center. He faces charges of child abuse.

According to the investigation, the conflict took place on the evening of April 21 in the Tijeras area. The athlete's 17-year-old daughter called the police, claiming she had an argument with her father, after which he allegedly used physical force against her.

Court documents state that Means struck his daughter, grabbed her by the neck and pinned her down, and also threw an object at her. When the girl tried to leave, she said he punched her in the face. Law enforcement officers also reported visible marks on the victim's body, including injuries to the neck and face.

Tim Means is an experienced UFC fighter who debuted in the promotion in 2012. His record includes 33 wins, 17 losses, and 1 draw. He remains on the UFC roster, though he has not competed since his last bout in 2024.
