UEFA's reaction to the European Court's decision on the European Super League has appeared.
As you know, the court ruled that UEFA and FIFA did not have the right to block the creation of the tournament. They considered that they violated competition law when they threatened sanctions against all participants in the European Super League.
UEFA said in a statement that they are confident in the reliability of their new rules, which were adopted in June 2022.
“This decision highlights a historical shortcoming in UEFA's pre-authorization system. This was just a technical aspect which we resolved in June 2022. Our new rules comply with all European laws and regulations.
We believe that our football pyramid will be protected from the threat of evasion by European and national laws,” the organization said in a statement.
