UEFA has suspended the VAR official who worked on the PSG vs. Newcastle match


UEFA has decided to suspend the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for the PSG vs. Newcastle match, Tomasz Kwiatkowski, as reported by The Guardian.
According to sources, the video assistant will not be involved in the Champions League match between Real Sociedad and Salzburg. On Tuesday, November 28, Kwiatkowski recommended to the main referee of the PSG - Newcastle match, Shimon Marcinjak, to award a penalty in added time in favor of Parisians for a handball. Forward Kylian Mbappe successfully converted the penalty, and PSG avoided defeat.
Recall that PSG and Newcastle played to a 1-1 draw. The "Magpies" scored first in the 24th minute, after a not very successful save by Donnarumma, Isak was the first to reach the rebound. As in the first half, PSG had much more ball possession in the second half and tried to create a scoring opportunity after positional attacks.
