Uche Scores First Crystal Palace Goal on Full Debut

Crystal Palace’s Chrisantus Uche scored his first goal for the club as the Eagles defeated Shelbourne 3-0 in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday. Making his full debut, the Super Eagles midfielder struck in the 11th minute after finishing a pass from Eddie Nketiah. He also helped create Palace’s second goal when Yeremy Pino played him through and his chip hit the post, allowing Nketiah to tap in. Pino added another before halftime to seal the win in Dublin.

The goal is Uche’s first in ten games since joining on loan from Getafe. His strong showing offers a confidence boost, even though he is disappointed to miss Nigeria’s final squad for AFCON in Morocco.
