U20 AFCON Qualifiers: Cameroon to face Gabon in UNIFFAC tournament semi-final

The U20 Indomitable Lions now know their opponents for the semi-finals of the 2026 UNIFFAC tournament, being held in Yaoundé.

Cameroon will take on Gabon on Wednesday at 12 pm GMT, with a place in the final and qualification for the next U20 Africa Cup of Nations at stake. The young Cameroonians go into this match full of confidence after a perfect run in the group stage.

With two wins from two matches in Group A, they finished top of their group and confirmed their ambitions in this qualifying tournament.

For their part, Gabon secured their place in the semi-finals following a draw against Congo. The young Gabonese side now face a tough challenge against a Cameroonian team determined to build on their momentum.

This semi-final is therefore set to be decisive for both teams. Beyond a place in the UNIFFAC tournament final, the two sides will also be competing for a place at the next U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The slightest slip-up will prove fatal for either team. The match is scheduled for Wednesday at 12 pm GMT in Yaoundé.
