The U17 World Cup continues in Qatar, and Zambia impressed on Friday. The Zambian team confirmed its ambitions at the U17 World Cup with a 5-2 victory over Honduras.
Having opened the scoring through Chipelu (5th minute), Phiri (14th minute), and Sibeene (40th minute), the young Zambians demonstrated great attacking efficiency. Despite conceding two goals in the 44th and 52nd minutes, which allowed Honduras to briefly get back into the game, Daka restored the decisive lead in the 72nd minute.
In the 88th minute, Nyirongo's fifth Zambian goal sealed the match. This victory puts Zambia level with Brazil at the top of its group.
Zambia is well on its way to a third win in three matches, putting pressure on its next opponent. Zambia and Brazil will face off on November 10th in a top-of-the-table clash that will determine the dominant team in Group H.
