The Ugandan U17 team suffered a setback in their opening match of the U17 World Cup on Wednesday. They opened the scoring in the 25th minute thanks to James Bogere.
Following this early goal, the young Ugandans thought they had secured the victory, guaranteeing three valuable points in their first match. However, in the 88th minute, Roche equalized for Canada. In the 98th minute, Canada was awarded a penalty, converted by Aiyenero, making it 2-1.
This late goal sealed the final score at 2-1, forcing Uganda to suffer their first defeat in this U17 world football tournament.
