In May, one of the most anticipated events in sports of the current year, and arguably the biggest event in the world of boxing, awaits us. On May 18th, in Saudi Arabia, the ring will host a bout for the undisputed world champion title between the Briton Tyson Fury and the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

Usyk's promoter, Alexander Krassyuk, believes he has found a chink in the Briton's armor. During an interview with ProBox TV, he stated that Fury doesn't know how to box against a southpaw.

"The worst thing about Tyson Fury is that he doesn't know how to deal with a southpaw.

This is the worst thing in his fight with Usyk [a southpaw], he doesn't know such an approach.

He doesn't know when to enter and exit his attacks. It's a common technical mistake; he has made it many times".

Fury's trainer, Sugarhill Steward, had previously mentioned that they could make adjustments to their tactics. Reacting to Krassyuk's words during an interview with BoxingScene, he said:

"And [Krassyuk] actually said that? Maybe I will have to change something in our camp.

Of course, I'm not going to tell you exactly what I'm going to change. I can't disclose our plan for the fight with Usyk. [But] I will make some adjustments."

The last southpaw Fury fought was Otto Wallin in 2019. In that bout, the British boxer won by unanimous decision, but the Swedish athlete managed to land a blow on his opponent, leading Fury to require 47 stitches above his right eye.
