Tyson Fury leaves the UK due to tax reforms and relocates to the Isle of Man
Two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, along with his family, has decided to leave the United Kingdom following recent budget reforms initiated by Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves.
According to The Sun, the move was prompted by a sharp tightening of tax policy and increased fiscal pressure on high-net-worth individuals. The 37-year-old boxer, whose fortune is estimated at over £160 million, has settled on the Isle of Man—a territory renowned for its significantly more lenient tax environment. Fury's family, including his wife Paris and their seven children, moved into a lavish mansion worth about £8 million near the island's capital, Douglas.
The key factor was the difference in taxation: on the Isle of Man, the maximum income tax rate is 21%, whereas in the UK it reaches 40–45% for high earners. Additionally, this jurisdiction has an annual tax cap of £220,000 and no capital gains or inheritance taxes—crucial aspects for an athlete with multimillion-pound assets.
According to registration documents, Fury has already officially changed his tax residency, listing the Isle of Man as his permanent home. Similar updates have been made to his wife's company documents. Sources claim that Tyson is openly enthusiastic about the move and already considers the island his new home, while the family is looking into schools for their younger children.
