Heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury has commented on the postponement of his fight for the absolute world champion title against Oleksandr Usyk.

He wrote on Instagram that he was very devastated about it. According to him, he had been preparing for this fight for a long time and was in great shape.

"I'm sorry to everyone who took part in this great event and I will work hard to reschedule the fight as soon as my eye heals. I can only apologise to everyone affected by this, including my own team, Usyk's team, undercard fighters, partners and fans, as well as our hosts and my friends in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," Tyson wrote.

However, he also posted a photo and a post on his page, saying that Usyk is the one in big trouble, and he's in great shape.

"Nothing can be done, he got injured in sparring. But I can say that Usyk had problems, and I'm in fantastic shape. I will return to the fight as soon as I can. 2024 is a big year for the Gypsy King team," Fury wrote.

The fight against Usyk was supposed to take place on 17 February in Saudi Arabia.
