Milan has made it clear they won’t even entertain the idea of a loan. Galatasaray explored the option of a loan with an obligation to buy, while Fenerbahce was preparing a bid of around €40 million including bonuses. However, those figures still fall short of the Italian club’s demands.

Galatasaray can offer the allure of Champions League football, while Fenerbahce is determined to snatch one of Serie A’s most high-profile stars. At this stage, however, there is no official agreement between the clubs or with the player himself.
