Liverpool striker Darwin Núñez may not be delivering elite-level goal returns, but offloading the Uruguayan is proving to be a challenge for the Reds.
Details: According to El Nacional, the services of the 25-year-old forward were offered to two Spanish giants—Atlético Madrid and Barcelona. However, neither club showed significant interest in signing him.
Liverpool is looking to sell Núñez for a high fee in order to recoup the €85 million they spent on his transfer. However, finding a club willing to meet their financial demands has proven difficult.
Reminder: Previous reports suggested that Núñez was close to joining Saudi side Al Nassr, but Liverpool refused to sanction the move as they were unable to secure a suitable replacement.
