Two own goals brought Atletico victory over Feyenoord

Atlético secured their passage to the 1/8 finals of the UEFA Champions League in the fifth round of the group stage.

Diego Simeone's team in the Netherlands defeated Feyenoord 3:1. Interestingly, two of Atlético's three goals were scored by the hosts in their own net.

In the first half, the ball from Geertreida flew into Feyenoord's goal. After the break, there were more goals: Hermoso scored Atletico's second goal, then Wiffer reduced the visitors' lead, but soon Jimenez scored the Netherlands' second own goal.

This victory helped Atletico to advance to the 1/8 finals of the UEFA Champions League. In the last round "Indians" will play at home with Lazio.

Feyenoord secured third place in the group - this means that the team will play in the play-off round of the UEFA Europa League. The game with Celtic in the last round will have no tournament significance.
