The race to sign Lille's top scorer Jonathan David is heating up, with all signs pointing to a summer transfer for the Canadian forward.
According to Florian Plettenberg, there are currently two main contenders for David: Chelsea and West Ham.
It is expected that David will not engage in any negotiations until after the conclusion of Copa America 2024. However, he and his agent will actively pursue a transfer once the tournament ends.
Chelsea has been monitoring David for some time and believes that a striker of his profile can solve many of the team's attacking issues.
Lille is seeking a fee of 20 to 25 million euros for their star forward.
