Inter narrowly defeated Roma in the eighth round of Serie A, with Lautaro Martínez securing the winning goal. However, the victory was overshadowed by unfortunate news for the Nerazzurri.

Details: During the first half, two Inter players were forced off due to injuries. First, Hakan Çalhanoğlu had to be substituted, followed shortly by Francesco Acerbi. Both exits were due to physical issues.

The two players will undergo medical tests on Monday, October 21. According to Sky Sports, Çalhanoğlu might still feature in the UEFA Champions League match against Young Boys on Wednesday, October 23.

As for Acerbi, Inter's staff hopes to have him ready for their upcoming Serie A clash against Juventus. However, Sky Sports reports that his recovery in time for that fixture will be challenging.

Reminder: Lautaro Martínez made history by becoming Inter’s top-scoring foreign player, equaling István Nyers' record of 133 goals.
