In the nine matches played by Hellebuyck, Winnipeg secured seven victories and suffered two defeats. Currently, the Jets lead the Western Conference.

The second star is awarded to Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews. In December, the American hockey player participated in 12 matches, amassing 21 points. Matthews scored 15 goals and provided six assists during these games. Toronto achieved six victories and suffered nine defeats in 15 matches, placing the Canadian team in the sixth position in the Eastern Conference with 45 points.

The first star of the past month is Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon. Over 15 games in December, the Canadian managed to accumulate 29 points. MacKinnon netted 11 goals and delivered 18 assists. Moreover, he set a franchise record for points in a single month, surpassing Peter Stastny's previous record of 28 points in February 1981.
