Independiente Rivadavia has added two new names to its roster as preparations continue for the upcoming Clausura tournament. On Thursday, the Mendoza-based club announced the arrivals of midfielders Tomás Muro and Leonel Bucca, both returning from stints in European football. The players are already training with the team under coach Alfredo Berti in Córdoba, as confirmed by the club’s social media accounts.
The signings follow the recent acquisition of Ezequiel Bonifacio, the first reinforcement announced earlier this month. Muro, 23, comes from Russia’s FC Orenburg. He began his career at Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata and made his professional debut in 2022 before moving abroad.
Bucca, 26, arrives from Portuguese side Estrela da Amadora. His experience in Argentine football includes spells at Deportivo Riestra, San Martín de Tucumán, and Unión de Santa Fe—his only appearance in Argentina’s top division to date.
The team will remain in Córdoba for preseason training until Monday, when they will return to Mendoza to finalize preparations ahead of the tournament’s kickoff.
