Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad are looking to attempt to sign Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric, as reported by journalist Rudy Galetti.

Al-Ahli is ready to try to sign Modric in the upcoming winter transfer window. As for Al-Ittihad, they are also interested in the Croatian midfielder. Both clubs are currently working with the player and his representatives as they want his initial agreement before approaching Real Madrid.

Luka Modric's agent mentioned that Saudi clubs showed interest and wanted to sign Modric last summer. Currently, Modric is contemplating his future with Real Madrid, but a move to the Saudi league is possible if the offer is satisfactory for the player.

It's worth noting that in 2012, the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, expressed interest in Modric, and the club signed him to a five-year contract with a transfer fee estimated at around £30 million. He made his debut for the club just two days after signing the contract.
