Following the resounding 1:4 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League, two Chelsea players, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, have deleted their accounts on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

Although the exact motivation behind this decision remains unknown, talkSPORT speculates that it may be attributed to the incessant stream of insults directed towards them from disgruntled Chelsea fans.

22-year-old Caicedo joined Chelsea in the summer from Brighton, with the Blues paying a substantial €116 million for the player. The midfielder has participated in 27 matches for the aristocrats, yet has not registered any goal contributions.

23-year-old Fernandez made a €121 million move from Benfica to Chelsea in January of the previous year. In the current season, the Argentine has scored five goals in 27 matches for the aristocrats.

After the defeat to Liverpool, Chelsea occupies the tenth position in the Premier League table. On February 4th, the Blues will host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge.
