Tonight, the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England, will host the much-anticipated UFC 304.
This event promises two title fights. The main event features a rematch for the UFC welterweight championship, with reigning champion Leon Edwards of British-Jamaican heritage facing the Palestinian-American challenger, Belal Muhammad.
Their first bout occurred at UFC Fight Night in March 2021, which ended in a no contest due to Muhammad receiving an accidental eye poke from Edwards, rendering him unable to continue.
This will be Edwards' first fight of the year. Last year, he stepped into the octagon twice, securing victories in both bouts by decision, defeating Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington. Edwards' last loss in the UFC dates back to 2015, when he was defeated by Usman via decision.
For Muhammad, this will also be his first fight of the year. He fought only once in 2023, where he emerged victorious against Gilbert Burns by decision. His last defeat was in 2019, when he lost to Geoff Neal by decision.
The co-main event also features a championship bout and a rematch. For the interim UFC heavyweight title, reigning champion Tom Aspinall of England will face American contender Curtis Blaydes. Their previous encounter was in July 2022 at UFC Fight Night, where Blaydes won by technical knockout in the first round after Aspinall suffered a knee injury (torn cruciate ligaments) and could not continue.
