The Argentina national team has already confirmed two star players who will participate in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

According to Gastón Edul, legendary Benfica central defender Nicolás Otamendi and Manchester City forward Julián Álvarez will be part of the squad. The Argentine Football Association has already received permission from their respective clubs.

As the third player over the age of 23, the coaching staff of the Olympic team, led by Javier Mascherano, has chosen Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez. However, they have yet to receive permission from the English club. Additionally, Argentina is awaiting responses from Chelsea and Manchester United regarding Enzo Fernández and Alejandro Garnacho, who are eligible by age for the tournament.

At the 2024 Olympics, Argentina will compete in a group alongside Ukraine, Iraq, and Morocco.

This will mark the tenth time Argentina competes in the Olympics. They have previously won gold medals in 2004 and 2008.
