Tusker’s Ryan Ogam Eyes FKF Premier League Golden Boot
Tusker FC player Ryan Ogam is aiming to win the top scorer award in the FKF Premier League for the 2024/25 season, thanks to his great performance. The 22-year-old forward has scored 12 goals so far this season, including two goals in Tusker’s 2-1 win against Bidco United on Sunday.
Ogam started the scoring in the 11th minute with a well-placed left-footed shot, following a good pass from Shaphan Siwa, who now has nine assists this season. The two players worked together again in the 59th minute, with Siwa sending a perfectly timed pass that Ogam finished with a calm chip over the goalkeeper.
Speaking to the media, Ogam expressed gratitude for the support he has received since joining Tusker. “I want to thank my teammates and the coaches because adapting to a new team is never easy. They have made it really comfortable for me. I am adjusting well to the league and moving forward, I believe I will do more,” he said, as quoted by Tusker’s official website.
On his ambitions, Ogam added: “Of course, I have ambitions at the end of the season, to win the Golden Boot and other individual awards, but the most important thing for me is to see the team do well.”
Looking ahead to Tusker’s next game against Posta Rangers, Ogam reflected on the team’s recent performances. “We lost last Wednesday against AFC Leopards, which was really tough, but we managed to bounce back against Bidco United. The mood in the dressing room is positive for this coming game because we want to finish the year with a win.”
Tusker will rely on Ogam’s red-hot form as they aim to maintain their push for the league title.
