Turkish 2010 champions relegated to the fourth division

The decline of the renowned football club Bursaspor in the depths of Turkish football continues.

In the 34th round of the third division, Bursaspor lost to 1461 Trabzon with a score of 1-2, losing any mathematical chances to escape the relegation zone. Bursaspor remains in 18th place with 20 points.

In the 2009/10 season, Bursaspor sensationally won the Turkish Süper Lig for the first time in its history and played in the group stage of the Champions League in the 2010/11 season.

The 2018/19 season ended with an unexpected relegation from the Süper Lig for Bursaspor, and due to financial problems in the 2022/23 season, the club found itself in the third division.

Throughout the club's history, notable footballers such as Hakan Sukur, Tuncay Sanli, Scott Carson, Sebastian Frey, Altay Bayindir, Balazs Dzsudzsak, and many others have played for Bursaspor.
