The head of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al Sheikh, is no longer interested in organizing the fight between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) and WBA champion Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs).

Instead, Turki Al Sheikh is now looking to arrange a fight between Crawford and Vergil Ortiz.

"Turki Al Sheikh said that on Saturday he will consider the Crawford – Ortiz fight if it's not Canelo. On Saturday, Ortiz is fighting Sergey Bohachuk," wrote reputable journalist Michael Coppinger on social media.

Earlier, the head of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia shared his boxing plans for the next year.

In related news, the WBA has announced two new champions. In the junior middleweight division, Terence Crawford has become the new champion. In the super lightweight division, the new champion is Jose Valenzuela.
