Turkey “Sports Betting Activities”: Alassane Ndao to be suspended for one year
Heavy sanctions have been announced against several players involved in illegal betting activities.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF), through its Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK), announced these sanctions, one of which involves Senegalese international Alassane Ndao, currently playing for Konyaspor, who has received a twelve-month suspension.
While the decision was made public on Thursday, November 13, 2025, the player, who came up through the ranks at AS Dakar Sacré-Cœur, was sanctioned under Article 57/2 of the Disciplinary Regulations (FDT), concerning offenses related to betting and sports ethics.
This suspension temporarily removes his eligibility to participate in professional competitions under the auspices of the TFF (Turkish Football Federation).
This decision is part of a wave of disciplinary measures that also affects other players in the Turkish league, including Eren Elmalı (Galatasaray), suspended for 45 days, and Metehan Baltacı, sanctioned for nine months.
This suspension represents a serious setback in Alassane Ndao's career.
