The first round of the UEFA Euro 2024 group stage will end with matches in Group F. The first match in this quartet will be the game between Türkiye and Sakartvelo.

Regardless of the result, this match will be historic for Kartvelo football, as their favourites will make their debut at the European Championships. But nobody will refuse to celebrate this event with a victory.

The Turks intend to rehabilitate themselves in front of their fans for two consecutive failed European Championships, when the team failed to get out of the group. Such a modest opponent as Sakartvelo will be quite suitable for this purpose.

Both teams approach the match almost fully armed. Sakartvelo head coach Willy Sanyol spoke at the pre-match press conference about their losses ahead of the meeting with Türkiye:

"Solomon Kverkvelia is ready for tomorrow's game, while Otar Kiteishvili can't help us yet. However, it doesn't change anything. I am sure whoever replaces Kiteishvili tomorrow will play at a high level. Kiteishvili is a very important player for the team and I am sure that he will help us in the next match".

His vis-a-vis Vincenzo Montella was more verbose about the team's personnel losses ahead of the match against Sakartvelo:

"Is your squad sufficient for the tournament? We had unfortunate and unfortunate injuries. That has affected us. Things that happen in football. We have two important, strong edge defenders like Ferdy and Zeki. They are both ready to play, but I don't want to risk these two players on the pitch at the same time.
