The Tunisian Football Federation is considering sacking the manager of the Eagles of Carthage.
The Tunisian national team got off to a poor start at the World Cup, which is being held in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The Eagles of Carthage suffered a heavy defeat against Sweden (5-1) in Group F. It is a result that has not gone down well in Tunis.
According to the Tunisian press, some members of the Tunisian Football Federation have called for an emergency meeting to decide the fate of manager Sabri Lamouchi. The French tactician’s dismissal is reportedly being considered before the end of the World Cup. Wahbi Khazri, one of Lamouchi’s assistants, is expected to take over on an interim basis for the remainder of the tournament.
