Tunisia searching for new coach: Franck Haise and Raymond Domenech emerge as frontrunners
The 'Carthage Eagles' are on the hunt for a new head coach after Sami Trabelsi stepped down following Tunisia's elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations at the hands of Mali.
Details: According to Nassim De Pique, former Nice boss Franck Haise and legendary French coach Raymond Domenech, who once managed the French national team, are in talks about taking charge of the Tunisian national side.
Reports indicate that negotiations with both candidates are ongoing. A final decision on the appointment is expected soon.
The new coach will be tasked with preparing the team for the 2026 World Cup. In the group stage, Tunisia will face the Netherlands, Japan, and the winner of the European playoff B (Ukraine, Sweden, Poland, or Albania).
Reminder: South Africa missed three clear-cut chances in their match against Cameroon and crashed out of the Africa Cup of Nations.
