Tunisia Appoint Moin Chaabani as Head Coach Until 2030

Tunisia have officially appointed Moin Chaabani as their new head coach, with the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) handing him a four-year contract that runs until the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

The federation confirmed the appointment on Tuesday through its official Facebook page, bringing Chaabani back into the national-team setup with a long-term mandate.

Chaabani takes over from French coach Hervé Renard, who was placed in charge of Tunisia for their final two group matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Renard's short spell followed the dismissal of Sabri Lamouchi, who was sacked after Tunisia suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat to Sweden in their opening World Cup match.

The FTF has also confirmed Chaabani's technical team as he begins preparations for the next stage of Tunisia's international program. Mourad Melki and Seifallah Hosni have been appointed assistant coaches, while Khaled Maghzaoui will work as the team's goalkeeping coach. Hatem Boulila has been named fitness coach, with Wessam Safwat taking responsibility for performance analysis.
