Tudor's replacement. Lazio have decided on the name of the new head coach
Following the unexpected resignation of Igor Tudor, Lazio has decided on who will be the head coach for the next season.
According to Nicolo Schira, Lazio is on the verge of appointing Marco Baroni, who is currently managing Verona. The 60-year-old coach is expected to sign a two-year contract with the Rome-based club.
In addition to Baroni, Lazio considered Miroslav Klose and Paulo Sousa for the position, but ultimately chose the Verona coach.
In the recently concluded season, Baroni managed to keep Verona from relegation to Serie B despite the club selling many key players during the winter transfer window.
It is worth noting that Igor Tudor successfully managed Lazio for only three months before resigning due to a conflict with the club's management. The Croatian coach was firmly against Lazio's decision to allow attacking midfielder Daichi Kamada to leave for Crystal Palace.
