England manager Thomas Tuchel has announced the list of players called up for England’s November Nations League fixtures.

Details: The coach explained his decision to call up 21-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham for the upcoming Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain, while also clarifying the absence of Chelsea star midfielder Cole Palmer.

The German coach stressed that Jobe had earned his call-up through consistent performances in Germany and his role as captain of England’s under-21 side. The coaching staff sees him as one of five options for the central midfield area: a more defensive and physically robust player than his older brother Jude, capable of retaining possession effectively under pressure.

As for Palmer, the decision to leave him out of the squad was linked to fierce competition and his absence from the previous international camp. Tuchel noted that the winger was “missing too many opportunities to show what he can do” at international level because of injuries, emphasizing that the players who impressed during the previous camp had kept their places in the squad.

In addition, Phil Foden and Noni Madueke were left out of the squad, while no Manchester United player will be included for the upcoming matches.
