The Saudi Arabia Masters snooker tournament was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from August 30 to September 7. The tournament was held at the Green Halls complex and attracted a strong lineup of participants. The players were lured by a large prize fund of 2.3 million pounds, more only at the World Championship in this sport.

The matches were an interesting struggle, and in the final two experienced fighters met, the leader of the world ranking, the 2019 world champion Judd Trump and three-time world champion, ninth in the ranking, Mark Williams. Younger by 14 years, the Englishman Trump was considered the favorite of the confrontation, however, the final was the jewel of the tournament.

After the first session, Williams was losing 4:6, but after the break took three frames in a row. The opponents did not let each other in the breakaway, everything was finally decided in the decisive 19th frame, where Trump was stronger, eventually winning 10:9. The winner takes solid prize money of 500 thousand pounds, and the finalist 200 thousand pounds.
