Triumphant return to Durban: Mandla Ncikazi officially takes charge of Golden Arrows

South African football club Golden Arrows have officially announced the appointment of Mandla Ncikazi as the team's head coach following his departure from Orlando Pirates.

Details: The 57-year-old coach is returning to independent management in the country's elite division after completing a high-profile spell as an assistant at the Soweto-based club. The Durban outfit's management swiftly finalized all contractual formalities, confident that the coach's deep understanding of the club's structure and tactical expertise will help the team overcome its current crisis in the national championship.

The coach himself expressed his full readiness to tackle the difficult challenges ahead at the helm of a team he knows well. The primary task for the revamped coaching staff will be to stabilize results as quickly as possible and build a reliable defensive structure to drive the club into the upper half of the league table.

It is worth noting that Mandla Ncikazi previously managed Golden Arrows during the 2020/21 season, leading the team to a historic achievement — fourth place in the South African championship. The experienced coach subsequently worked successfully on the staff of giants Orlando Pirates, winning several domestic trophies and cementing his status as one of South Africa's most respected coaches.
