Colombian star James Rodríguez has completed a move to Mexican club León after terminating his contract with Spain’s Rayo Vallecano. While León managed to secure the midfielder for just €1 million, they will have to meet a series of specific requests from the player as part of the deal, reports Marca.

According to the Spanish outlet, James demanded a house, 14 personal bodyguards, and—most surprisingly—a guarantee that the club would sign "the best players" to strengthen the squad. It seems the Colombian may not be entirely impressed with his future teammates, a sentiment unlikely to sit well with them.

Additionally, Marca claims that James is set to earn around €6 million for his one-year contract with León.

James Rodríguez, who once played for football giants like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, has seen his career take a sharp decline in recent years. He has had stints in Qatar, Greece, and Brazil, where he played for São Paulo, before returning to Europe with Rayo Vallecano.

Despite his career setbacks, James remains one of Colombia’s finest players, having earned 112 caps, scored 29 goals, and provided 35 assists for the national team.
