Numerous clubs are vying for Guinean international Amadou Diawara's services as he is garnering significant interest throughout Europe. The 26-year-old free agent is currently open to a fresh challenge and is carefully considering his options. He most recently played for Anderlecht.
Girona FC makes the first move
According to Africafoot, Girona FC has already opened negotiations with Diawara’s camp. Talks are ongoing, and a contract offer is reportedly on the table. The Catalan side sees Diawara as a key addition to bolster their midfield depth before the transfer window shuts.
More clubs join the race
Several other Spanish sides have shown interest, including Levante, Getafe, Valencia, and Real Betis. Scouts from these clubs have been closely monitoring Diawara’s training sessions in recent weeks.
Outside Spain, AEK Athens and AEK Larnaca from Greece are also keeping tabs, while Brazilian giants Palmeiras have entered the conversation with strong interest.
Player's camp: minutes over prestige
His agent, Kanfory Sylla, confirmed:
“For Amadou, regular minutes on the pitch matter more than the league’s prestige at this stage of his career.”
Market value and expectations
Diawara’s current market value stands at €700,000, according to Transfermarkt, but insiders believe bidding clubs may need to raise their offers in what is becoming a highly competitive race.
