Transfer draws closer. Wirtz agrees salary terms with Liverpool

Florian Wirtz has been enjoying outstanding seasons and is a highly coveted addition for many top clubs. It now appears that Liverpool is pulling ahead of all rivals in the race for the German star.
Details: According to Nicolo Schira, the player has already agreed personal contract terms with the club. Wirtz will earn ten million euros per year. Liverpool is currently negotiating with Bayer and is confident that they can finalize the transfer.
Earlier reports indicated that Liverpool hopes to seal the deal within the next 48 hours. Should the transfer go through, Wirtz will become the most expensive signing in the club's history—his fee is set to exceed 100 million euros.
For the record: In 197 matches for Bayer, Wirtz has scored 57 goals and provided 65 assists.
