Transfer chain reaction! Newcastle have found Bruno Guimarães’ successor

Newcastle are already preparing for life without their midfield leader.

Details: According to L’Équipe, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha has emerged as the main candidate to become Bruno Guimarães’ long-term successor. Negotiations for the German international have picked up pace following progress in the deal sending the Brazilian to Arsenal for around €90 million, excluding bonuses.

The Newcastle board have already reviewed Borussia Dortmund’s demands and are moving forward on a potential transfer. However, the financial terms of the possible deal remain undisclosed.

The 25-year-old Nmecha is under contract with the Dortmund club until the summer of 2030. Newcastle believe that the Germany international is the ideal reinforcement for their midfield after Guimarães’ expected departure.

However, the Magpies will face stiff competition: both Manchester United and Manchester City are also said to be interested in Nmecha.

It’s worth noting that Felix Nmecha’s market value is estimated at €55 million by Transfermarkt.
