Real are prepared to part ways with Gonzalo García, but not on a permanent basis.

Details: According to Partidazo de COPE, the Madrid club is willing to sell their 22-year-old striker to Fulham for around €70 million.

The key aspect of the deal is expected to be a buy-back clause. Real do not want to lose control over their academy product and will retain the option to re-sign him if the conditions agreed in the deal are met.

The transfer has not been officially announced yet, but negotiations between the clubs are at an advanced stage. Earlier reports indicated that Fulham had already started working on bringing the Spanish forward to London.

Moving to London will give Gonzalo García more playing time, while Real stand to pocket a hefty sum and keep the door open for a future reunion with the striker.

It's worth noting that in the 2025/26 season, Gonzalo García made 39 appearances for Real's first team across all competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists. He did not feature at the 2026 World Cup: García trained with Spain as one of nine reserve players and made his debut in a friendly against Iraq, but ultimately didn't make the final tournament squad. However, he shone at the 2025 Club World Cup—netting 4 goals and supplying 1 assist in 6 matches, finishing as the tournament's top scorer.

Reminder: Arbeloa tries to steal talent from Mourinho. Will he succeed?
