Transfer bombshell! Chelsea go after Man City star
Chelsea are ready to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Manchester City.
Details: According to Fichajes, Chelsea have revived their interest in Manchester City attacker Rayan Cherki and are considering a move for the Frenchman in 2027. The London club could step up its pursuit if City's financial situation and possible sanctions force the club to consider selling valuable players.

Chelsea had already explored the possibility of signing Cherki before his move to Manchester City in June 2025. That attempt did not lead to an agreement, but the situation around the 23-year-old has now put him back on the Stamford Bridge club's radar.
The Blues are not the only European heavyweight following developments. Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are also monitoring Cherki's situation and could enter the race if Manchester City open the door to a sale.
Cherki remains under contract with Manchester City until June 2030, meaning the English club are in a strong negotiating position. Fichajes cites his Transfermarkt valuation at €90 million, which is approximately £76 million. No formal Chelsea offer has been reported, so a potential 2027 deal remains dependent on how City's situation develops.
It's worth noting that Cherki has made five Premier League appearances for Manchester City in the 2026/27 season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
