Tragedy struck Roberto Firmino's family

The father of Brazilian footballer Roberto Firmino died while being on vacation in Dubai with his family, writes the Brazilian publication UOL.

According to the source, a 62-year-old man suffered a heart attack. Doctors were unable to save the man.

It is reasonable to mention that Firmino currently represents Al-Ahli from Saudi Arabia. Before that, he spent many years at English Liverpool, with whom he won the English Championship and the Champions League.

Last summer, the 32-year-old forward became a free agent after the end of his contract with Liverpool, which he joined in 2015.

In total, Firmino made 362 appearances across all competitions for the Reds, scoring 111 goals and 72 assists.

This season, the Brazilian footballer took part in 14 Al Ahli matches, in which he scored three goals and three assists.

His current contract with the Saudi Arabian club runs until the summer of 2026.
