Preliminary reports indicate the deceased was heavily intoxicated. The man attempted to jump from the second tier of the stands to the first, lost his balance, and fell. The drop from such a height onto the concrete structures below proved fatal—medical personnel could only confirm death from the sustained injuries upon arrival.
It’s worth noting that the match itself was played without incident and ended in a goalless 0-0 draw.
