Trabzonspor are keen to sign Andre Onana on a permanent basis

Andre Onana’s spell in Turkey could extend well beyond his loan.

Onana, who has been loaned out once again this season to the Turkish club by the Red Devils, may not return to Old Trafford at the end of the 2026–2027 season

According to reports, Trabzonspor are keen to sign the Cameroonian goalkeeper on a permanent basis. However, Manchester United are said to be asking for €10 million to sell Onana outright. Trabzonspor, who wish to keep the Cameroonian goalkeeper at the end of his loan spell, do not intend to pay the sum demanded by the Red Devils.

The Turkish club’s management are looking to negotiate a lower fee. Talks are expected to begin shortly. Trabzonspor’s directors are expected to meet with representatives of both the Cameroonian goalkeeper and Manchester United in order to find common ground.

Andre Onana remains under contract with Manchester United until 30 June 2028. However, the Premier League club could part ways with the Cameroonian goalkeeper, who no longer appears to feature in their plans.
