Barcelona travelled to Brugge for their UEFA Champions League fixture and ended up matching an unpleasant defensive record.
Details: According to Opta, Barcelona have now conceded at least one goal in nine consecutive matches — their second-worst run in the past 12 years. The last time they endured a longer streak was in 2013, when they conceded in 13 straight games.
Incidentally, ahead of the Champions League fourth-round clash between Barcelona and Brugge, a frightening incident occurred in Belgium — a bus carrying Barça supporters caught fire.
Reminder: Chelsea’s head coach recently fielded the second-youngest starting lineup ever used by an English club in an away UEFA Champions League match.
