Legendary Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is close to a move to an MLS team, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

According to sources, Los Angeles Football Club is progressing in negotiations for Hugo Lloris. Tottenham has given consent for the transfer of their legendary goalkeeper to the United States. Currently, discussions are underway with the goalkeeper himself.

Recall that on August 31, 2012, Hugo Lloris transferred to the English club Tottenham Hotspur for ten million euros with the possibility for the Lyon club to receive an additional five million in bonuses and 20% of the goalkeeper's next transfer fee. In the London club, the French goalkeeper displaced Brad Friedel from the starting lineup, who at that time held the unique achievement of appearing in 310 consecutive Premier League matches.

Lloris quickly became a key figure at Tottenham, extending his contract with the club for five years in the summer of 2014. At the end of 2016, he signed a new deal, extending his stay until 2022. After the departure of Younes Kaboul in the summer of 2015, Lloris was appointed the captain of the team.
